For a specific high end application Wouter Witzel tested a DN 500 rubber lined valve. The valve was equipped with a fast acting pneumatic actuator provided with boosters and a PLC controlled positioner to open or close the valve within 2 seconds.
Wouter Witzel has supplied > 800 butterfly rubber lined valves for the chiller rooms and cooling network to the Internal Security Force (ISF) of Qatar.
Last Thursday a running clinic was organized for our employees, led by Dutch marathon runner Ingrid Prigge. For most participants it was a nice extra preparation for the Enschede Marathon, which will be held on April 22.

During regular assembly of butterfly valves various greases are used between the moving components. The grease is also applied to create a smooth and easy assembling between the disc and rubber lining.
In certain industries however it is not allowed for safety or quality reasons to supply butterfly valves containing any kind of silicons or grease.
In the LEAN implementation Wouter Witzel recently conducted a customer satisfaction survey under a selection of key accounts. The aim of this research is to determine where the focus of demand projects should lie.
The majority of the assessments were positive, the actual remed actions were started. More than a few months will be a measure of measuring our obligations.
All in all a positive next step in the implementation of the LEAN philosophy.

On Friday November 3th, Deputy Eddy van Hijum visited Wouter Witzel and took the MKB-tour at Losser Municipality.The goal of the MKB-tour is to create an optimal business climate that meets the wishes of the entrepreneurs.
The involvement of the municipalities is therefore extremely important. Over the past few months, the delegates have been tortured by Overijssel to visit all the municipalities where local MKB’rs are central.
Wouter Witzel has provided a presentation and a tour. It was an interesting and successful meeting.
